The South Madison Community Event Calendar was created to help keep our small towns strong, even as we grow. The Community Event Calendar is managed by the South Madison Community Foundation as a tool to support nonprofit and community organizations in their efforts to create a more vibrant and connected community.

Third and Fourth grade book club is back! This book club is designed for children who love to read or would love to improve their reading skills. Three Wednesday fall series - registration required. The Christian Women’s Fellowship (C.W.F.) “Comfort Keepers” of the East Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Markleville (East Indiana 38) will have its monthly God Abundance Meal on Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the lower fellowship hall of the church.
The menu will be chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, assorted desserts, and drink. (Dine in or take out.)
This is the last meal for 2023.
"The Game Corner" features a friendly video game tournament for teens in grades 6-12. Recent game selections include Nintendo Switch Sports, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, TowerFall, and Rocket League.
Drop by for an evening of family fun at the Lapel Branch! There will be an assortment of games for all ages available to play. We will have bowling, giant jenga, giant sorry, as well as a variety of other board games and card games for your family to explore. Be sure to check out our early literacy play area and don't miss our group game at 6pm.
