The Community Event Calendar is managed by the South Madison Community Foundation as a tool to support nonprofit and community organizations in their efforts to create a more vibrant and connected community.

Tadpole Day Camp

Mounds State Park 4306 Mounds Road, Anderson, IN 46017, Anderson

Calling all young Naturalists ages 6 years to 8 years old! Join other Jr. explorers and learn about nature in a fun, hands on half day camp. Camp dates are June 10 through June 13. Hours are 9 a.m. to 11:30 (Monday through Wednesday) and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday. Hikes, crafts, creek stomps, and it is all topped off on the last day with a camp fire lunch. Cost is $75 per student, but if you require financial assistance, the Friends of Mounds State Park generously sponsor a limited number of scholarships. Space is limited, so register soon! Beginning Birding Hike

Join Sheree for a one-hour leisure beginners’ birding hike. Bring binoculars if you have a pair. Meet at the Community Building. 1 hour

Storytime – FATHER’S DAY

Pendleton Community Public Library 595 E. Water St., Pendleton

Storytime is aimed for children 0-6. Come visit for snacks, songs, crafts, and playtime! We will be celebrating awesome and special dads during this storytime! Hear heartwarming tales about the love between fathers and their children, followed by a craft to take home to dad.

Open Hearts, Open Purses Award Night

Crystal Coop 3400 W. 53rd St., Anderson

South Madison County's women's giving circle will mark its fifteenth year of community impact at the Open Hearts, Open Purses Award night!

Open to members who each contribute $100, the evening includes finalist presentations, member vote, and award presentations. Girls under age 18 may join as junior members for $25 - juniors award their own grant!

Starry Night Adult Book Club

Evening book club held from 6:30-7:30 on the 2nd Thursday of every month (except December).
