Come to the Mounds State Park Nature Center and the Bronnenberg front lawn and meet folks from the DNR’s Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology, Ball State University, and the Upper White River Archaeological Society. They will have artifacts and stories to share. Bring any artifacts you would like to have identified. There will also be hands-on activities for kids including making cordage and pinch pots, watching a flintknapper make stone tools, Atl-Atl throwing and more! The event is free with park admission of $7 per vehicle for Indiana residents and $9 for out of state residents.
Bounce houses, DJ, vendors, raffles, activities, and more! Brings donations for Ingalls Police Department's Cops for Kids outreach - cash or donations of unused toys and winter clothing are needed.
Join us for an enchanting event at the Nature Center amphitheater in Mounds Park as we present "The Healing Power of Nature". This unique concert invites you to experience music that evokes relaxation, comfort, and peace. Against the backdrop of the park's natural beauty, Larry Gindhart and Joel DeLashmit will captivate you with their performances on Native American and Native American Style Flutes.
As the gentle breeze rustles through the trees, let the evocative tones of the flutes guide you into a state of relaxation as we weave together the timeless traditions of Native American music with contemporary influences, offering a rich tapestry of sound that resonates with the natural world around you.
Head out to the American Legion for the band Stella Luna's return! Open to members and non-members.
Many people’s introduction to AFSP comes through the Out of the Darkness Walks, taking place in cities nationwide. In our Community, Campus and Overnight Walks, those affected by suicide – and those who support them – raise awareness and much-needed funds, strongly sending the message that suicide can be prevented, and that no one is alone.
