The South Madison Community Event Calendar was created to help keep our small towns strong, even as we grow. The Community Event Calendar is managed by the South Madison Community Foundation as a tool to support nonprofit and community organizations in their efforts to create a more vibrant and connected community.
A friendly video game tournament occurs each Wednesday in the teen room. The winner of each week's tournament picks the following week's game. Everyone age 12-18 is welcome to attend. No registration required.
Storytime is designed for children up to 6 years old. Come visit for snacks, songs, crafts, and playtime with Ms. Rachelle!
The consistent practice of mindful meditation will support an ever-increasing facility for living mindfully. Sessions are open to the community, free of charge, led by a certified instructor. All experience levels welcome!

When the television program, starring Julie Andrews as Cinderella, first aired in 1957, it was the most widely viewed program in the history of the medium at that time. Since then, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella has continued to charm audiences in productions on stage and on television. Based upon the classic fairy tale, and particularly the French version Cendrillon ou la Petite Pantoufle de Verre, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s adaptation brings new life to the story of a young woman forced into servitude who dreams of – and achieves – a better life. Cinderella features some of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible,” and “Ten Minutes Ago.”

Bicentennial Birthday Bonanza: a bicentennial “signature event” will occur with a county-wide community “birthday bash” in downtown Anderson. The event will feature entertainment, food and other refreshments, fun activities for kids and families, and displays about Madison County’s history. It will be preceded on the same day with a community gospel and spiritual music concert at the Paramount Theatre. All churches in the county will be invited to participate.
