The South Madison Community Event Calendar was created to help keep our small towns strong, even as we grow. The Community Event Calendar is managed by the South Madison Community Foundation as a tool to support nonprofit and community organizations in their efforts to create a more vibrant and connected community.

Come to the Mounds State Park Nature Center and the Bronnenberg front lawn and meet folks from the DNR’s Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology, Ball State University, and the Upper White River Archaeological Society. They will have artifacts and stories to share. Bring any artifacts you would like to have identified. There will also be hands-on activities for kids including making cordage and pinch pots, watching a flintknapper make stone tools, Atl-Atl throwing and more! The event is free with park admission of $7 per vehicle for Indiana residents and $9 for out of state residents.
Bounce houses, DJ, vendors, raffles, activities, and more! Brings donations for Ingalls Police Department's Cops for Kids outreach - cash or donations of unused toys and winter clothing are needed.
Join us for an enchanting event at the Nature Center amphitheater in Mounds Park as we present "The Healing Power of Nature". This unique concert invites you to experience music that evokes relaxation, comfort, and peace. Against the backdrop of the park's natural beauty, Larry Gindhart and Joel DeLashmit will captivate you with their performances on Native American and Native American Style Flutes.
As the gentle breeze rustles through the trees, let the evocative tones of the flutes guide you into a state of relaxation as we weave together the timeless traditions of Native American music with contemporary influences, offering a rich tapestry of sound that resonates with the natural world around you.
Head out to the American Legion for the band Stella Luna's return! Open to members and non-members.
Many people’s introduction to AFSP comes through the Out of the Darkness Walks, taking place in cities nationwide. In our Community, Campus and Overnight Walks, those affected by suicide – and those who support them – raise awareness and much-needed funds, strongly sending the message that suicide can be prevented, and that no one is alone.
Town Submitted Special Event: The Pendleton Lion's Club will be hosting their annual free fishing derby for kids up to 13 years old at Falls Park.
Explore local history on display at the free museum next to the Falls. Relax on the porch and strike up a conversation with one of the volunteer docents.
This is such a unique event! Join worship leaders and musicians from many local churches in a night of worship at the Pendleton Elementary School Gym (PES). This is an event for the whole community and everyone is invited. Churches represented are from a variety of denominations with a unified goal of lifting high the name of Jesus!
Join Anderson Farmers Market and Bloom Director, Anna Ulam, for a live cooking demonstration! Participants learn how to create nutritious dishes, spotlighting fresh, seasonal produce. Everyone will enjoy a dis and take home a locally grown ingredient!
