The South Madison Community Event Calendar was created to help keep our small towns strong, even as we grow. The Community Event Calendar is managed by the South Madison Community Foundation as a tool to support nonprofit and community organizations in their efforts to create a more vibrant and connected community.

Kindergarten Roundup provides an opportunity for parents and guardians to enroll children in the district's kindergarten program for the upcoming academic year. All children who turn 5 by 08/01/24, and parents and guardians can attend roundup.

Candlelight yoga will use a gentle, flow style class that focuses on breathing and light stretching. It is the perfect way to end your day and wind down before bed.

Join us for an hour of stories and fun at Gathering Grounds Coffee Shop in Lapel. Enjoy stories, songs, finger-plays, and rhymes. Strengthen early literacy skills and encourage the joy of learning. Each program ends with a fun craft or activity!
"The Game Corner" features a friendly video game tournament for teens in grades 6-12. Recent game selections include Nintendo Switch Sports, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, TowerFall, and Rocket League.
Hang out at Lapel Library every 1st and 3rd Wednesday after school for games, movies, STEM, and art activities! Watch anime, build with legos, play video games, program robots, complete crafts, and much much more. Each week will be something a bit different.
As a supporter of our community and stakeholder in our National Register Historic District, we invite you to join us for an informative presentation from Madison County Historian Stephen Jackson. You will also hear updates on the Historic Pendleton Commission, availability of Historic Plaques for your home or business, and a vote for the General Membership Officers Slate. This meeting is open to the public, along with current, and past members of Historic Fall Creek, Pendleton Settlement. Refreshments will be served.
