Hey Madison County, join us for a new kind of pop-up event! This pop-up will be a fundraiser to help support The Pendleton American Legion Auxiliary. We will be parked in the parking lot of the American Legion. Our 10 count bags of frozen tenderloins will be sold for $28 each, and a portion of each sale will go to the Auxiliary. We will have both spicy and original available. We accept both cash and credit.
See you there!
Amanda Rhodes - from Currently Creating Art Studios - will be the instructor for this fun and messy paint class.
*We will be using acrylic paint which does not wash out of clothes. Ponchos will be provided but please be aware of this with clothing choice.
As a special treat, Love On A Leash will be here from 10:15 am - 11:00 am in either the Sycamore Room or the lobby outside Sycamore.
Love On A Leash is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing an avenue for volunteer teams to engage in meaningful and productive pet therapy. A therapy pet's primary function is to brighten someone's day. Therapy pets and their handlers visit wherever they are invited - including nursing homes, hospitals, and schools to provide comfort and happiness.
*We will be doing a small group format with the therapy pets and their handlers. Snicker and Jinger (dogs) and their handlers Tim and Melanie (humans) will be here to do a Q&A about LOAL, what they do and the differences of service and emotional support animals. And they'll obviously be providing lots of time to pet and hang out with the dogs! You can drop by at anytime between 10:15 am and 11:00 am to meet the dogs and their handlers. If the dogs are already entertaining several other patrons, please have a seat somewhere in the library or browse the stacks until another patron leaves.
Free to enter your chili into the cookoff.
Guests will pay $7 for all-you-can-eat.
Proceeds benefit Adams-Markleville Fire Department.
Get ready to shamrock and roll with teacher and artist Amanda Rhodes. She will be leading a Saint Patrick's Day craft or two in the Community Room.
This craft is aimed for children aged 5-10. Some parental help may be required for children on the younger side of this spectrum.
When you mention code MC18, a portion of each sale is designated for the Madison County Orchestra- which will use the fundraiser to earn a matching grant for a catalog of beginner sheet music, bringing the joy of playing to new generations of local residents!
Show off your creativity -- make a bracelet or lanyard! Bead Club is a drop in program for ages 9-13 hosted on the third Monday of each month. Snacks provided.
