The South Madison Community Event Calendar was created to help keep our small towns strong, even as we grow. The Community Event Calendar is managed by the South Madison Community Foundation as a tool to support nonprofit and community organizations in their efforts to create a more vibrant and connected community.

Stephen T. Jackson will present "Spanning the River" a 16 part series based on his book "If the River Could Talk, Stories of the White River in Madison County". This 16 part series is being touted as part of the America 250 Celebration.

Activities to achieve our mission:
We are the founders of the Village Fair. We work each year to organize and host our town’s most anticipated annual event.
Proceeds of the Lapel Village Fair and Indiana State Fair Dairy Barn have been used in the following:
Installation of 58 street lights on Lapel's Main Street.
American and Bulldog flags and Christmas decorations on the street lights.

If interested in joining the Lapel Community Association, meetings are usually the first Wednesday of the month at Lapel Stony Creek Fire Department. We are dark the months of December, January and February.
Town Submitted Special Event: The 4th at the Falls is a community event. Food trucks, craft vendors, face painting, musical entertainment and a great firework display to end the evening.

Celebrating its 30th season in 2024, the Pendleton Indiana Farmers Market is located in Falls Park along the banks of Fall Creek at the heart of downtown Pendleton. Over sixty vendors set up each Saturday from May to September from 9am to 12:30pm.

Game week! This week, we will play fun games ranging from board games to outside yard games. Children can bring their favorite game into the Y to play with friends.
