The South Madison Community Event Calendar was created to help keep our small towns strong, even as we grow. The Community Event Calendar is managed by the South Madison Community Foundation as a tool to support nonprofit and community organizations in their efforts to create a more vibrant and connected community.

The Christian Women’s Fellowship (C.W.F.) “Comfort Keepers” of the East Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Markleville (East Indiana 38) will have its monthly God Abundance Meal on Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the lower fellowship hall of the church.
The menu will be chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, assorted desserts, and drink. (Dine in or take out.)
This is the last meal for 2023.
"The Game Corner" features a friendly video game tournament for teens in grades 6-12. Recent game selections include Nintendo Switch Sports, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, TowerFall, and Rocket League.
Drop by for an evening of family fun at the Lapel Branch! There will be an assortment of games for all ages available to play. We will have bowling, giant jenga, giant sorry, as well as a variety of other board games and card games for your family to explore. Read Me a Story is a traditional library storytime in the shade of the Lapel Branch greenspace.
Read Me a Story is a less noisy program with individual play, so it has a TURTLE sensory and activity level: low noise with focused, calm activity.
This program emphasizes the early literacy activities of READ, PLAY, SING, TALK, and WRITE which are essential habits for getting ready to read, as determined by the American Library Association's Every Child Ready to Read program.
Come join us for a fun BINGO night where there's a prize for every BINGO! Test your luck and be ready to laugh and shout. (Age 18+ only).
Join us in the Community Room for a PG-rated, Friday themed classic movie, popcorn, and drinks.
Join us after the Lapel High School football game for the 5th quarter, with smoothies, snacks, and fun for all!
