1001 Nights with guest conductor Sarah Pearson

Join the ASO with guest conductor Sarah Pearson, Music Director/Conductor/Founder of The Cleveland Orchestra and Chorus of Tennessee, Music Director/Conductor for The Cleveland Pops, and Assistant Conductor for Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, as they present Mozart’s Overture to”The Marriage of Figaro” and Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherazade.”

The evening includes the Boyad Jieff-Junior “Concerto for Marimba and Orchestra, “ with guest artist, Caitlin Jones.

New and Other Worlds with guest conductor Ian Passmore

Guest Conductor Ian Passmore joins the ASO and pianist Spencer Myer for an evening that includes, Ravel’s Piano “Concerto in G Major” and the contemporary work, “Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres)” by Missy Mazzoli. Passmore and the ASO will also feature the incomparable Dvořák’s “Symphony No. 9 in E Minor (From the New World)” in an evening of “New…and Other…Worlds.”

Rach the House with guest conductor Devin Patrick Hughes

The final concert of the season features the Rachmaniinoff Piano Concerto no. 3 in D minor, with pianist Jialin Yao. Guest conductor, Devin Patrick Hughes, currently Artistic Director/Conductor of the Arapahoe Philharmonic: Symphony of the Rockies, and Music Director/Conductor of the Boulder Symphony. He will also lead the ASO in performances of the Arturo Marquez’ “Conga del Fuego Nuevo” and Beethoven’s “Symphony no. 8 in F major.”
