National Wellness Month Hike

Falls Park; Parking lot by Community Building 299 Falls Park Drive, PO Box 221, Pendleton, Indiana

Let’s start the month off right with a hike to promote wellness. We’ll hike the Green Loop while learning about Falls Park and its amenities for your use. Meet at the Community Building parking lot. Most of this hike is accessible with paved walkways. 1 hour.

Read Me A Story

Read Me a Story is a traditional library storytime in the Children's area.

Read Me a Story is a less noisy program with individual play, so it has a TURTLE sensory and activity level: low noise with focused, calm activity.

This program emphasizes the early literacy activities of READ, PLAY, SING, TALK, and WRITE which are essential habits for getting ready to read, as determined by the American Library Association's 'Every Child Ready to Read' program.

Back to School Event

Jesse Ireton Memorial Park downtown Ingalls, Ingalls, Indiana

Parents with children at Maple Ridge Elementary School have an opportunity to receive help with school supplies and more. Supplies that will be made available include classroom supplies from the MRES supply list, backpacks, and clothing. The event is being sponsored by the school as well as Green Township, Outfitters, First United Methodist Church (Pendleton and Ingalls campuses) and South Madison Food Pantry. In case of rain, the event will shift to Green Township Park, 10609 S. State Road 13.

Stephen T. Jackson will present "The Moravians & The Spiritualists" a 16 part series based on his book "If the River Could Talk, Stories of the White River in Madison County". This 16 part series is being touted as part of the America 250 Celebration.
