The South Madison Community Event Calendar was created to help keep our small towns strong, even as we grow. The Community Event Calendar is managed by the South Madison Community Foundation as a tool to support nonprofit and community organizations in their efforts to create a more vibrant and connected community.
Rides, games, food, and community bring a town together every June at the Pendleton Lions Club June Jamboree, a fundraiser for the Club's community projects and an all around great time!
Stephen T. Jackson will present "The History of Boone and Duck Creek Townships" a 16 part series based on his book "If the River Could Talk, Stories of the White River in Madison County". This 16 part series is being touted as part of the America 250 Celebration.
Musicians of all instruments with at least one year of experience are invited to come sight read some music together and make some new friends.

We are the founders of the Village Fair. We work each year to organize and host our town’s most anticipated annual event.
Proceeds of the Lapel Village Fair and Indiana State Fair Dairy Barn have been used in the following:

If interested in joining the Lapel Community Association, meetings are usually the first Wednesday of the month at Lapel Stony Creek Fire Department. We are dark the months of December, January and February.
Storytime is aimed for children 0-6. Come visit for snacks, songs, crafts, and playtime! Today, enjoy a few weather-themed stories - rain, shine, sleet, or snow! We will also be engaging in a few messy, hands-on crafts!

Celebrating its 30th season in 2024, the Pendleton Indiana Farmers Market is located in Falls Park along the banks of Fall Creek at the heart of downtown Pendleton. Over sixty vendors set up each Saturday from May to September from 9am to 12:30pm.
Explore local history on display at the free museum next to the Falls. Relax on the porch and strike up a conversation with one of the volunteer docents.
