Tea Lab

Interested in learning more about tasseology, or the study of “tea”? What non-tea plants can be used that grow wild in the state of Indiana? Come to the Mounds State Park Nature Center and learn about the ancient art of herbal infusions. Supply fee of $15.00 will cover the cost of materials, instruction, light refreshments, and materials to make your own tea blend. Instruction will last 1 ½ hours. Presented by the Indiana Astronomical Society, this program will cover what an eclipse is, history of eclipses, and what to expect the day of the eclipse. You will also be shown how to safely view and photograph them. There will be a short Q&A after the program. Each attendee will get TWO pairs of eclipse glasses and these will be given out at the end of the program.

Come to the Mounds State Park Nature Center to learn more about what an eclipse is (both solar and lunar), how to view them safely, and other out of this world information! Get prepared for the Great American Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024. Program is presented by Dan Malone of the Muncie Astronomy Club and member of the Friends of Mounds State Park. Seating is limited to 60 people per session, so come early!
