AU Dance Camp: Just Dance!

In choosing the Just Dance! Summer Dance Intensive, know that your time spent at Anderson University will consist of new friends, great memories, and spectacular dance. This is just the beginning of what is sure to be an inspiring week of dance for you!

Just Dance! Summer Dance Intensive is open to middle school, high school, and college students, and includes training by Anderson University faculty as well as guest instructors and professionals. The week-long program focuses on developing well-rounded dancers through exposure to a wide array of dance disciplines – with an emphasis on ballet and modern techniques.

Students can expect to dance every day from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and revel in a comprehensive curriculum that includes ballet, modern, jazz, tap, yoga, Pilates, pointe, partnering, global dance, improvisation, and repertory. An informal in-studio performance highlighting their accomplishments will be offered at the end of the week for parents and friends to enjoy.

Rising 8th-12th graders and college freshmen are welcome.

TIMES
Students selecting the residential experience will arrive on Sunday, June 16 and depart on Friday, June 21. These overnight dancers will have class beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 17, and continue into the early evening, with a special repertoire class just for them once the day campers leave for the day.

For those selecting the day camp option, classes will take place Monday, June 17 through Friday, June 21 beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m. Day campers will not have the option to participate in the repertoire class.

TUITION
Residential/Overnight – $895 (rising 9th graders and older)
Day Camp Option – $675 (rising 8th graders and older)
Full tuition is due at the time of registration
Cancellation Policy:
Before May 1: 90% of tuition is refundable
Before June 1: 50% of tuition is refundable
After June 1: 25% of tuition is refundable
The scholarship deadline is May 1.

ATTIRE
Ballet — Women must wear tights and solid-color leotards, as well as ballet shoes. Men must wear tights and solid-color leotards or form-fitting solid-colored shirt/tank top, as well as ballet shoes.
Jazz — Women must wear tights or dance leggings/pants, as well as leotard or fitted shirt/tank top. Men must wear jazz pants/form-fitted pants, as well as leotard or fitted shirt/tank top. All dancers must wear jazz shoes.
Modern, World Dance, and Improvisation — Women must wear fitted pants or shorts and fitted shirts or tank tops. Men must wear fitted pants or shorts and shirts or tank tops. Bare feet will be the requirement for these classes.
Warm-ups will be allowed for the first minutes of class, but then must be promptly removed.

Kids Theater Camp

Paramount Theatre 1124 Meridian St, Anderson, IN 46016, Anderson, Indiana

Paramount’s inaugural Summer Theater Camp, set to take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning on Monday, June 17, and concluding on Friday, June 28.

Youth ages 10–18 will learn elements of theater production with morning classes in musical theater, improvisation, voice and diction and others. The afternoons will be spent rehearsing for the presentation of “School House Rock, Jr.” on the afternoon of June 28. Early bird registration of $150 is available before May 15; price is $175 after May 15.

WEEM Radio Camp

Summer radio camp for students as young as Kindergarten. Students will go behind the scenes of broadcasting at WEEM, Pendleton's student run radio station. $75 registration fee to be paid by May 18th.
