7-Day Immersive Music Business Experience
High school students explore hands-on classes in Finding the Fan Magnet, Recording a Demo, Killer Press Kits, Songwriting, Touring for Indie Artists, Concert Promotion, and more!
Original songs written by student songwriters will be selected for recording.
Awards presented for Outstanding Songwriter, Music Business Student, Producer, and Artist.
Students are assigned to sing/play in a band that will perform at the camp’s Orangefest.
Promo photos and professional headshots provided to every camper.
Open mic night opportunities for students to perform.
What to Expect
The Orangehaus staff will interview you immediately after check-in to make sure you are assigned to the right music business track based on your background and interest. After the interview, you may audition (optional) to be assigned to a band, and songwriters may perform an original song (optional) for our producer who will select students to record their songs at Gaither Studios.

Auditions
If you plan to audition, be prepared to perform a couple of songs that best showcase your talent. We will have a drum set, keyboard, and amp on stage for you to use during the audition, and lockers will be provided for storing instruments during camp. You may audition on more than one instrument. Songwriters are encouraged to choose their best original song as one of their audition pieces, and if possible, bring a lead sheet of the song (melody, lyrics, chord chart). If you do not have a lead sheet, then just bring a printed copy of the lyrics.

Calling all young wizards ages 9 to 13 years old! Pack your truck and prepare to head to Mounds School of Wizardry and Wildlife for a week-long, day experience where you will study herbology, fantastic creatures, Owls, Astronomy, and more. Create your own wand, play Atl-atl Quidditch, and try your hand at mixing potions under the tutelage of School staff. Camp dates are Monday through Friday, June 24 - 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuition is $175 per student. Limited scholarships are generously available through the Friends of Mounds State Park. Celebrating its 30th season in 2024, the Pendleton Indiana Farmers Market is located in Falls Park along the banks of Fall Creek at the heart of downtown Pendleton. Over sixty vendors set up each Saturday from May to September from 9am to 12:30pm.

Explore local history on display at the free museum next to the Falls. Relax on the porch and strike up a conversation with one of the volunteer docents.

Town Submitted Special Event: Sunday Funday is an event that will provide the community with a casual day of fun and entertainment. This event will have 20-25 vendors.

Shows take place near the park gazebo. There is no admission charge. Bring your own chair or blanket. Refreshments available for a nominal fee.

Freedom is the theme of the week at summer camp! Wear red, white, and blue and enjoy structured outdoor games and celebrate your freedom!

Stephen T. Jackson will present "Spanning the River" a 16 part series based on his book "If the River Could Talk, Stories of the White River in Madison County". This 16 part series is being touted as part of the America 250 Celebration.

We are the founders of the Village Fair. We work each year to organize and host our town’s most anticipated annual event.
Proceeds of the Lapel Village Fair and Indiana State Fair Dairy Barn have been used in the following:

If interested in joining the Lapel Community Association, meetings are usually the first Wednesday of the month at Lapel Stony Creek Fire Department. We are dark the months of December, January and February.
